Father's Day (say it with paste!)

Today I tried out the new embossing paste and it was awesome! I needed to create some cards for Father's Day, and realized the embossing paste and masks would be perfect for them!

I used the brick mask and the one with little star/diamond shapes. The embossing paste went on smoothly and dried quickly - I was impressed! Such a simple way to create a big WOW factor.

This card was CASEd from Teri Pocock, modified slightly. I found out that the brick wall embossing folder coordinates really well with the brick-style mask for the embossing paste.
Dapper Denim card base (4 1/4 x 11, folded in half)
Smokey Slate cardstock (4 x 5 1/4) - use decorative mask with embossing paste that's been dyed with Basic Gray ink.
Dapper Denim oval (cut with largest oval in layering ovals dies)
Smokey Slate oval (cut with third largest oval in layering oval dies) - emboss with brick wall folder.
On Smokey Slate cardstock scraps, stamp and fussy cut the flexing man, "world's greatest" banner, and the title of your choice (grandpa, dad, etc.) and attach with dimensionals.

This card I CASEd from Vicki Willis - there is no embossing paste on here because that background stamp is enough on its own!
Very Vanilla card base (4 1/4 x 11, folded in half)
Soft Suede cardstock (4 x 5 1/4), stamped with the woodgrain background stamp in Early Espresso ink
Early Espresso oval (cut with largest oval in layering ovals dies)
Very Vanilla oval (cut with third largest oval in layering oval dies) - stamp with antique car in Early Espresso and the faded design from Timeless Textures.
Layer the ovals and attach with dimensionals.
Stamp "happy father's day to a classic" in Early Espresso on a 1-inch strip, punching the end with the triple banner punch. Attach with dimensionals.

This card was CASEd from Linda Throgmorton, but using our new embossing paste instead of an embossing folder.
Cajun Craze card base (4 1/4 x 11, folded in half)
Cajun Craze cardstock (4 x 5 1/2) - use decorative mask with embossing paste that's been dyed with Cajun Craze ink.
Very Vanilla cardstock ( 2 1/4 x 4 1/4) stamped with shoes in Basic Black and Cajun Craze
Layer that onto Crumb Cake cardstock (2 1/2 x 4/ 1/2) and Basic Black cardstock (2 3/4 x 4 3/4)
Stamp "happy father's day" under the shoes and attach with dimensionals.
Stamp "no one else could fill your shoes" inside the card.

I hope you enjoy recreating these cards for the men in your life! The Guy Greetings stamp set is very versatile and enables you to make a card for "DAD" "HUSBAND" "GRANDPA" "BROTHER" "FATHER" OR "UNCLE"!!  It's a wonderful all-occasion masculine set that every cardmaker needs!

Happy creating!
Your demonstrator,
Rachel
