Dear Summer, thanks for being you!

I came across a card by Connie Babbert where she used the Sale-a-Bration stamp Avant Garden as a palm tree, and it really inspired me!

I played around with what I have on hand and came up with my own version. I love the result!

This card makes me ready for summer!

CASE this card:
  1. Cut a piece of By The Shore designer paper at 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and adhere to Very Vanilla card base.
  2. Cut a piece of whisper white at 3x4 and stamp the palm trees in Cucumber Crush and Soft Suede inks.

Tip: stamp the flowers upside down to make them look like leaves, and since this set is photopolymer, just bend the stem stamp to create the shape of the tree trunk you like!
  3. Stamp the dots in Crumb Cake and the sentiment in Soft Suede.
  4. Use a stampin' sponge to apply Crumb Cake ink over the dots and Marina Mist for the sky/sea.
  5. Adhere stamped piece to a piece of 3x4 Soft Suede cardstock, offset.
  6. Wrap 6" of Cucumber Crush thick bakers twine around the card with 6" of burlap ribbon. (I separated my burlap into strands first.)
  7. Adhere the stamped piece to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Happy Creating!

Your demonstrator,
Rachel
